dissapointed

My husband and I just started trying and I was sure that I was pregnant I was tracking and reading all symptoms and everything and I just got my period this morning last night I went out and bought a test the first response my period was due May 1 and I got up this morning and I'm a little sad. When I bought the test yesterday the lady at the counter said good luck it took me six years to have my daughter and I was a little upset that she said that to me so I feel like it's never going to happen my whole family was excited that I told them that we were trying and even my girlfriend has been trying for about two years just told me she's pregnant and she's older than me and I don't have two years because I'm 37
