Ear protection

My two younger brothers are graduating (one from high school and one from college) in a few weeks. I'd like to bring my LO with us, he'll be 3 months. I thought about buying some type of protection for his ears, just in case parts of the ceremony are loud (band, fireworks,etc.) but I'm not sure what would be best to purchase. I've seen the earmuffs you can have them wear but I also came across something called a hush hat. Wondered if anyone had experience using anything like this for loud events or situations? I don't know what I should buy!
