Can my dog tell I'm pregnant?

My husband has had our 1/2 Great Dane 1/2 Cane Corso 7year old male since he was born (he had his mom) so he is very intune with us emotionally and the most wonderful, protective, well behaved guard dog any expecting mom could dream of. So, he has always been protective but this past week or so he has seemed anxious and won't leave my side when I'm home with him (I'm 8 weeks) 
He has fathered 2 litters with another dog so that lead me to maybe think he does understand or somehow sense the baby? Anyone else had experience with this? I can't think of any other reason he would all of a sudden seem more anxious (not in a bad way) just different Thank you in advance!:)

My sisters pitbull was "obsessed" with her he followed her everywhere and loved to cuddle her belly now he does the same with her baby who is now 1years old.

I was at a friends house the other day and his cat enjoys getting scratches but isn't terribly cuddly. His cat came and curled up on side of my thigh, and when I went to go to the restroom she followed me and meowed at me from outside the door. Now I've known this cat over eight years and she's never done this to me before. Additionally, my two-year-old kitten has been curled up next to me on my couch the last few days and he isn't a big cuddle bug like my older cat. Lastly, at a friends birthday party while sitting outside a baby praying mantis landed next to me on their table. Creatures sense things, not sure how, but I believe it.

My cat MUST lay on my lower half now instead of my chest and now insists I hold her paws while she sleeps.  I swear she does this more when I'm pregnant than not.

So I looked this up because we have 3 doggies and wanted to see if they knew. So basically your body's scent changes because of the hormones. They can't necessarily associate that scent with you being pregnant but know something is different about you and go into protector mode. I think as your belly grows dogs might have different reactions too. Dogs can also sense your more fatigued and in terms of the pack order they might think this is need to protect you too.

My French bulldog/Boston terrier, Hamilton, always knows. He's been attached to me since week 5 and was like this with all 3 pregnancies. When we brought home our son and daughter, he seemed to look at them like, hey, I know you. Our Lab mix, Charlie, is clueless. Haha. Both are amazing with the kids!! 🐾

My two pitties are pretty clingy anyway, but they've both taken it to extremes for the past few weeks! My female wants to be touching me always, if she's on the couch she'll scoot closer to put her head in my lap. My male gets very protective and barks like crazy if he hears something, which he has always done, but now when he does it he comes over and sits in front of me and stands guard LOL.

I swear my dog has known both times before me. She affectionate to begin with but when I'm pregnant she has to lay with me (between my husband and I) if I'm on the couch she lays with her head in my lap.
