Anti Depressants during pregnancy

I have been on SSRI's for 15 years. Upon finding out that I was pregnant, my doctor recommended that I stop taking them immediately due to possible complications that can occur with the development of the unborn child.  I had already started weening off them previously anyway, as I was TTC and knew about the potential dangers. However, as I got pregnant quicker than expected, I have had to stop them more abruptly than I would have hoped.  I am feeling such intense withdrawal....brain zaps, exhaustion and crying spells that go on for hours.  I feel truly desperate. I sit staring like a zombie for hours. My poor husband doesn't know what to do with me, I am hard to deal with and just  emotionally unstable at the moment. I am beginning to wonder if I did the right thing stopping these pills. Is anybody else pregnant and taking anti depressants or does anybody know anything about this?  Research seems to be mixed on the effects of SSRI's during pregnancy.
