It depends on your relationship with her. She's your MIL first and your boss second.

My saying is "if they weren't in the room when the baby was conceived I as the mother have the right to pick whose in the room when the baby is born"

I have an amazing relationship with my MIL but I don't want anyone besides my husband in the room. I'm not even gonna tell anyone when I go into labor bc I don't want visitors until the next day ! I believe that would never change our relationship as this  is very private situation 😬

I vote no but that's cause I don't want anyone in the room besides my doctor/nurses and my husband. To me it's a private experience, not a side show attraction. Having extra people there would have stressed me out.

I wouldn't let my MIL in to begin with lol.  🤷🏼‍♀️. The hospital I'm delivering at only allows two support people in the delivery room, so it's going to be my fiancé and our doula only.

Regardless of the fact that she's your boss, I just don't want anyone in there other than my husband. That's how it was with my first and it was amazing. Most hospitals want you to have your baby on your chest for the first hour they are born. You don't want them trying to bug you and asking to hold your baby. It was such a special time with my new little family to just be us for at least the first hour!

It really depends on your relationship with her. I have a great relationship with my mother in law and she was in the room when I delivered my daughter and will be in the room when I deliver my second baby. I only allowed my husband, my mom and my mother in law in the delivery room. And that was plenty they where all so good to me and helped my with anything I needed. ☺️ only do what makes you comfortable in the end it is what will work best for you.

I personally don't want a crowd... just me and my husband because he is amazing and all the support I think/hope I will need during!
