When is it ok for baby to go outside after birth

My baby is 1 week old and idk when is a good time to take him outside. He has rapid breathing so I'm just scared.

Outside: as soon as you want, unless it's super hot or cold or windy. I went to the park when my youngest was 2 days old. What's dangerous is where people might be too close, like stores.

Take Baby outside as soon as you're comfortable with it! Seriously, you can take him outside the day he's born if you want. Just make sure to control his temperature. If it's hot out, keep him in light clothing and under an umbrella most of the time. If it's cold, keep him bundled up being extra mindful of his head and neck.
Babies breathe really fast compared to adults. If you're concerned, you can count his breaths for an entire minute if you want. Anywhere between 30-60 breaths per minute is totally normal, whereas adults usually take 12-20 breaths per minute. If he's breathing significantly faster than 60 breaths per minute for more than 10 minutes, then call your pediatrician, otherwise there should be nothing to worry about.
Get that baby outside! It's so good for him to be exposed to the sun, the bacteria in the dirt and grass and the fresh air.

I took my one week out for coffee etc in our neighborhood. My dr was completely supportive saying that it's good for them and you!) to get some fresh air. And if you are breast feeding they will have your immunity to things

My parents took me to a dodger game at 4 days old. Lol. It's really up to you when you're ready! My mom always took us out because she said it built up our immune system, I don't know if she was right but she must've been on to something because my siblings and I hardly ever get sick! Last time I had the flu I was in 11th grade, that was about 8 years ago.

I say a month to start going outside or until after you healed at least, 2 months before bringing the baby to public places (i.e. Stores, church, etc) I know too many people who's babies got sick & it ended up being fatal before that 2 month mark. Too much of a risk for me. But then I know other's that were completely fine so do what you feel comfortable with

Its really up to the parents. I waited til at least a month for germ and sun exposure, but others feel different. Best to talk to your pediatrician.

I think the biggest concern is RSV. That can occur from being around other people. I know some people whose babies have been sick for the rest of their childhood (due to early RSV). In some cases, it can be fatal. See what your pediatrician recommends and do what you think is best. I agree about building up immune systems but personally, not when they're days old. I'd give it a few weeks!
