Frustrated

I know this is probably a sore subject for some women but I am experiencing cramps and irritability. I took a test and no such luck. I am 28 and already have 2 beautiful baby girls. We really want a little boy. I havnt been on birth control in about 8 months. My youngest turns 2 on Saturday and my oldest just turned 4. My grandmother and great grandmother both hit menapose in their 30s. I had the worst period I've ever had last month. Is that a sign of menapose or am i just being crazy?!
