How long is your cervix ?

Question

For those who have had a transvaginal ultrasound for cervical length ... How long was your cervix when you were 17 or 18 or 19 weeks ?

I had an ultrasound two days ago and they said my cervix measured 3.2 and said that is very good .

I had a pre-term labour with my first at 33 weeks and this time they are monitoring me.

Plz share with me your experience ... My dr also told me " you are more than likely will deliver a pre-term again" which I find offensive cos I might and might not! As I know my friend she had a pre-term labour with a premie but next pregnancy she passed her due date and was induced so not the case for every one .

I'm in the same boat as you...I go in every two weeks for us. Last week I was at 3.4, and told that was very good and no noticeable change from last us. As far as things our drs say, take it with a grain a salt, try and stay on the positive side of things cause like you said it's different for everyone for varying reasons. I had mine at 18 Wks and was 3.4.... It went down from 3.8 the previous time. I'm on progesterone injections weekly to prevent preterm labor again. Went into preterm labor with my first pregnancy at 22wks. I'm 20 Wks now and have an ultrasound Monday to check cervical length along with the anatomy scan. Good luck!

I had one a week ago, but I didn't get told the length. The one the week before that it was 4.6 cm. I'm being monitored because I had a breech pregnancy and a heart shadows uterus with a septum.

My dr. said anything more the. 2.5 cm is good. I had my oldest at 29 weeks and my last at 36 weeks (I did weekly 1mil progesterone shots, went into labor 8 days after my last shot) I'm back on the shots and my cervix is measuring 4.6 cm (week 19) I'm convinced this ones staying in till 40+ weeks!

I had one at 16 weeks it was 4.2 then had one at 18 weeks and it went to 3.2... They told me to come back 2 weeks later when I will be 20 weeks for ultrasound and meet MFM
