Postpartum rib pains

Have any of you ladies experienced extreme rib pain after birth? It happens to me every so often after I gave birth to my second last June. My pains are so intense i cannot sleep or rest. I cannot even lay down, its such an immense pain i just sit and fight crying. Regular pain killers dont work and i dont know what to do anymore. I have no insurance. I read on forums that some women experience them but none mention it being so late after childbirth or to this extreme. Somebody please help me :(
