Rant! 😠 Sorry, but I need to.

Ok, I'm sorry, but I have to rant. My husband and I just went down to the lovely restaurant in our hotel for dinner (on our honeymoon). Our waiter was the only one there and he is new, he still was trying to get the hang of things. My husband and I understood and were very kind to him and patient. Well, after our food arived (freaking delicious by the way!! Fantastic food!) a family came in and got seated next to us. The father of the group (mostly kids and 2 women and himself) starts right way after being seated saying how "exspensive" they are here for a hotel. They aren't by the way. Our whole meal with 2 extra sides and everything was only $40. But then the father of the group asked the waitor if they still served potato wedges. The waitor said no they did not, just fries. And the father was a total a hole. Saying stuff like "that's bulls**t" " those are the only reason I came back to this place" and just flat out being rude. He was dropping the f word like it was his last time to say it and complaining the entire time. The waitor came over and apologized to the family saying he was new and having an off night and offered them 25% off of their meal. How sweet is that?! Nope, the father said "what about the 20% we already get?". The waitor said I'm sorry, 25% is as high as I can go without getting in trouble. The dad was still just an a hole to him.

Ok, first off, if you can't afford a place like this DONT COME HERE!! Second, if you can't be nice to someone just learning their job gtf out! And thirdly, if you are going to act like that and be ungrateful, rude, and disrespectful to their staff like that for no reason and make the night misaerble not only for yourself, but also the people around you, at that point YOU DO NOT DESERVE THEIR SERVICE!! I wanted to walk over and deck him so hard!! Sorry for the rant, but my heck!!

What would you have done?? We left him a hefty tip and a note saying he was doing great and to ignore rude people like that.
