what age is best for potty training?

My daughter turns 1 in a couple of days and I was wondering when is the perfect time to potty train her I know not yet, but idk what age is best??

My daughter turns two next month. We started a week ago and it's going great! I would have started a bit earlier but we moved from Hawaii to Tennessee so I had to wait a bit longer than I would have liked to.

For what I've read (before someone else starts telling me that their kid started at 9 months and it's not true..good for them) they can't control the muscles to hold pee until 18 months the earliest. That's what I've read in the baby center emails I get that follow my child's development/milestones

Every child is different. No one can tell you when your child will be ready.
Just read about toilet training readiness and watch for those signs.
My personal rule of thumb is if my child is still pooping in his or her sleep and doesn't have dry diapers after naps....the child isn't ready

There's not really an age. If you force it on your baby then they'll have accident upon accident and you'll have to do LOADS more laundry, have so many more headaches, tons of frustration, and it's just not worth it.  At around 3 years old is when babies naturally start to realize that the whole diaper thing is not fun because they're wet or dirty, and they start to want their diapers off and want big boy/girl underwear. They'll come to you saying "Mommy I pooped!" and complain every time their diaper is wet. THAT is when you introduce them to the big boy/girl potty, and with this method my mom had me and my 3 younger siblings potty trained in 3 days. My older brother, however, she tried to force potty training upon before I came because she didn't want 2 babies in diapers, and it was a nightmare. It took him FOREVER to potty train, and once I arrived he wanted to have attention from his mommy so he'd make messes all the time and she gave up and put him back in diapers for a while until she had the energy to deal with potty training again and eventually got him to use the potty again by giving him treats as an incentive. You'll make lots of mistakes with your first baby, and you'll learn a lot - potty training doesn't have to be a lengthy stressful experience, you'll just have to be willing to wait for your baby to be ready.

You can start whenever but developmentaly they mind doesn't understand 'oh this feeling means I have to pee' until around two and a half. And literally whenever. There's folks that use elimination communication and those children are on the potty realllly early.
