input?!?

So idk if some of you guys saw me post yesterday, but basically what i asked you guys was wether or not i should have my crushes best friend tell my crush i like him(as if my crushes best friend was breaking a promise he kept to me, not like i sent him to tell him)  and most of you guys said i should do it...so my crushes best friend asked my crush if he would theorically like to know if someone liked him and he got reallyy mad and he was like "NO. NO I DONT WANT TO KNOW, AND NO IM NOT GOING TO ASK ANYONE TO PROM." And i was like genuinely surprised  and i was kinda hurt cause i didnt think he would have reacted that way, so as of right now my crush still doesnt know i like him and tbh idk what to do..
