I lost my virginity to my boyfriend and we've been together for 8 years now. So obviously we had pretty teenage vanilla sex. But I feel like it's never progressed past that and it's gotten a bit boring.

Hope you don't mind a guys perspective. Just think if he felt the same way. If y'all have been together that long, chances are some of your interest are the same. Maybe he wants some of the same stuff. But you'll never know without talking to him. Maybe send him provocative things that are a little kinky. Pictures saying something like "can't wait to try this when you get home." Or something. I wouldn't jump right into BDSM stuff without testing the water first. But I agree with other posters, it takes communication. Be open and honest. It takes being vulnerable but just that can be exciting.
