How much nursing after solids?

My girl's been eating solids for about a month now. She eats cereal for breakfast, usually a fruit for lunch, and a veggie for dinner. I've noticed she's nursing less now, obviously because she's getting more from solids, but I'm wondering how often is normal? She's just over 7 months and we're usually nursing 6-7 times a day. I just don't want my supply to drop since my mil (childcare) is still giving her 15 oz of breastmilk while I'm at work. It's hard enough to keep up with that, I'd hate for it to get worse!

My son is doing the same. He is eating less in the morning and our feeding right before bed. I don't know if it's "normal" but he's healthy and happy and gaining weight.

Breastmilk should be their primary source of nutrition until a year old. She should be nursed before solids are given. After a year solids can be given first and than nursing.

I'm having the same issue with my little guy. I always try to nurse him first thing in the morning (he does well with this feeding), as well as right after naps and before bed. I have been offering before naps as well because I've been worried that he's not getting enough milk. He's definitely easily distractible. Just turned seven months today. Sometimes during the day he won't nurse because he seems to want to do anything else. I'm hoping he's getting 15-20oz a day on top of his three meals. It's so hard to know what to do!

Food under one is just for fun :) I'd still nurse 6-8 times a day and as long as you're still getting enough wet/dirty diapers and LO is gaining then you are fine

Thank you, that's what I've been doing. She's just not nursing as often between meals, so I'm wondering how often others are nursing.
