Formula in bottle or sippy cup?

How old and do they use a sippt cup? Mine will be 10 months in 10 days. They can get stuff out of the sippy cup but use it more for playing with. I usually have to even put juice in the bottle. They dont really drink water either. I have tried a few different brands and they will only drink formula from the bottle. Any suggestions? I know theu should be off the bottle by one.
