So my little boy has what I think are the cutest little dumbo ears, but family and friends always make comments, giggle at him, and tell me he is going to be picked on. My mother has said since the beginning that she wishes there were something we could do to "flatten them out." Today she came back from the hairdresser who had shared a story about a boy who had similar ears and the pediatrician "taped them back." She said if was just a piece of tape that held them flat. I was so appalled and upset but then I started thinking even though I will love him no matter what and teach him to do the same, it won't change his mean the kids will be to him so maybe it is an okay idea. Have you ever heard of this or had it done? Does it work? What do you think?
