What age did your baby outgrow infant carseat?

The weight limit on our infant carseat is 30lbs. I just want to know when to expect to buy the convertable one. My son is 1 month and 10 lbs.

My son is 17lbs and at his 4m appt was 26 in long so at 5 months i assume hes a litttle longer. I have 2 infant seats, 1 is 30lbs and the other is 35lbs. But the weight limit is something like 33in. So i think itll last him the year.

Most infant seats are up to 35 lbs . I have a cybex and it also has a 30in height maximum. My son was 26 in. At his 4 month appointment so I'm not sure the seat will safely last too much longer . I was hoping to get a year out of it

my infant car seat is good up to 35lbs. my son is still in his and he is 15-months.

We just switched mine at 10 months. I would say anywhere from 8ish months to one year is normal. Dr told me when they are around 18lbs most ppl switch cuz it gets way too heavy to carry. My daughter was 20lbs when we switched her cuz it was way too heavy to carry the infant seat. 30 lbs will be very hard to get that thing in and out of the car. Also check the height limit.

My son is almost 7 months and getting close top outgrowing it length wise.

My daughter will be 1 in a few weeks and still uses hers in my husbands car. She is small though, only 17 lb 14 oz. But she still has room and definitely prefers it to the convertible one I have in my car.
