No one ever said relationships are easy.
For the past nearly 8 months, my fiancé has been working out of town, 8 hours away. He used to come home for 2 days every 2 weeks, but it soon turned to MAYBE a day, day and a half once a month. Recently, we've grown distant.. and not just geographically. It also allowed us to let things such as money really get in between us. Just the other day I told him that I need to take some time to put myself first and to work on all the things I'd made no improvements on in the past few years. We fight constantly and now he feels I'm on the road to ending our relationship, but honestly I just think we made such a huge step much too soon, and I guess you could say I'm backtracking. Trying to achieve everything that should've been accomplished beforehand.
Anyway, long story longer.. he's coming home tomorrow for good. He'll be working in town and we're supposed to see each other at some point in the early part of the day. I'm so incredibly nervous. ESPECIALLY for sex. How can I let myself go enough to be open and intimate with a man I no longer feel connected to?
On top of everything we have to work on individually, our relationship also needs.A LOT of work. How do you put yourself first, while also trying to reignite the burned out flames?
Please, ADVICE! Words of encouragement. Anything. ❤️
