How do you feel about "unique" baby name spellings?

Excuse the repost, someone subjected the question was too broad & I agree. 
How do you feel about moms adding random letters / changing the spelling of the baby's name?

People can name their kids whatever they want, but need to remember that people will probably ask how to pronounce or spell their name, or misspell or mispronounce it by mistake. I've had people get personally offended at work because I didn't know that their child's name was spelled much differently than it sounds. Personally, I wouldn't want to put my kid through a lifetime of having to sound out and spell their name for everyone, but if it's not my kid, not my business. Just don't get upset when people ask for clarification.

I love unique names, but I think it's important to consider the long term. Making spellings too unusual dooms your child to a lifetime of correcting other people who try to spell and/or pronounce their name.

Hate it. 
My sisters a teacher and she has seen a rise in odd baby name spellings. Its hard to teach a kid how to spell a long name with added y's and such. Not to mention kids with the same name and different spellings. 
It just looks bad to me personally. I wouldn't hire someone who had an obnoxious name spelling. 
But hey to each their own!!

"unique" spellings are admittedly not to my taste. I feel like they're trying way too hard to be different, when in reality they're very trendy and common. Besides the fact that a child ends up with an undecipherable name.

Thank you for the clarification. To answer the question, I think people will name their children whatever they want, as is their right. But don't be surprised and outraged when there is a pushback or hesitancy of acceptance. That's what happens when you challenge the status quo with something different. (Which I fully support)

Having the unique name of Danae was difficult growing up. People constantly misspelled and mispronounced it constantly. I never got to find my name on things anywhere. I find using common or easy spellings of names are better for the kid. If you want something unique just use common but less-used names like Alice or Warren. :)

My sons name is Owyn. Pronounced like the y in Gwynn. I really like Arthurian legends and thought it looked like it would come out of one of those stories ☺️

As long as its not a huge name and can cause difficulties for the child to learn. Otherwise. Your child do what you feel happy with. If i have another little girl her middle name will be Jaymes (james) after my hubby and papaw.
