When is it okay to use baby vicks on your child?

I have seen a lot of controversy about the product, but I use it as an adult... So my question is.. When does it become "safe".

Baby Vicks has different ingredients than normal Vicks. It's safe to use from 3 months and on. I use it almost every night. It's just essential oils, it helps my daughter sleep. The regular Vicks is medicated.  I hardly have use any at all,  1 jar has lasted me a year and a half.

I never actually put it on her skin when she was a baby and that baby Vicks didn't help with stuffiness only to soothe and sleep and that still didn't really help. If she had a cold I'd rub a little regular Vicks on the front of her shirt I know ppl put it on the bottom of baby foot, but I was worried that it would irritate her skin. Or I'd boil it on the stove by putting some into a pot and it would float through out the house or sitting in the kitchen with her. You could try putting it in a wax melt or even a vaporizer the kind that can heat up though not the cold water one those don't work as well be careful with those hot vaporizers though.

I'm gonna use the babyganics one, its the more natural version ( same stuff i could use to make it at home just  easier to buy) I know vicks tends to be strong to me as an adult  so for a baby ill try something softer.

The ingredients are Petrolatum, fragrance, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Mineral Oil.

It is safe to use on babies 3 months and older.

The baby Vicks we got contained menthol and eucalyptus essential oil. I know for SURE eucalyptus essential oil is not safe for children under 6, some even say 10. So for the baby Vicks we have, we had to toss it because it's not safe for babies or small children.
