HALO bassinest ???

Is the premiere series swivel sleeper really worth it? Or are there bassinets that are comparable or better ?

I loved the convenience and it allowed me to relax more having him so close. But he outgrew it in four months, so it is important to realize it won't last long.

I have the basic model, which was given to us from a friend who used it and loved it. I originally wanted to buy the premiere series, but I was overjoyed to get the basic one for free, so no complaints here! It's massive and very heavy, though! It's currently taking up tons of room in the nursery, but we'll move it next to our bed when the baby comes in a couple of weeks. I'm sure I'll end up stubbing my toe on the legs at some point, though! The fact that it swivels out of the way, and has the drop down mesh sides makes it stand out to me, but now that I have the bassinet and I've seen how big it is, I almost wish I had a lighter, more portable bassinet so I could fold it up and get it out of the way. If you have tons of space in your house, and money isn't an issue, then I say go for it. It's the perfect bassinet in all aspects of a bassinet. If, however, you don't have a good place to store it, I'd go for something portable. I plan to only use my bassinet for about 3-5 months before putting our baby in the crib at night, so I'll probably end up trying to give it back to my friend after I'm done with it so I don't have to deal with storing the monstrosity myself.

Personally I'm looking into the Lotus bassinet from guava family since it can be converted into something similar to a pack-in-play once the baby outgrows the bassinet.

We have the basic model halo that we bought second hand off Craigslist.  It is quite difficult to move around but seems super sturdy.  I can't wait to use it for our baby girl in 2 months.

I like it. The base of it takes a lot of room so if you don't have a lot of space between your bed and the wall, reconsider. My son didn't love it at first--he preferred sleeping in the rock n' play. But, he learned to like it. The halo was convenient because it was easy to get him in/out and I liked that I could see him through the mesh. I'll be using it for baby girl who is to come!

I couldn't bring myself to register for it due to the price. As a FTM, I'm not sure just how long we'll need/use our bassinet.  Instead, I registered for the Fisher Price Rock n Play portable bassinet. It's $67 on Amazon and the reviews are 4.5/5 stars. It also looks a lot easier to move around the house if needed!
