TMI possible miscarriage?

I just woke up with a big (bigger than I've ever seen before probably about 3½ inches with a long string attached, made of the same tissue) piece of bloody tissue along with a lot of blood all over my panties and my bed. I just tested yesterday morning any got a negative, but I'd be about 6 weeks and most women in my family can't test positive before 8 weeks. I'm in so much pain, should I go to the hospital?
