Laying on my stomach?

Question

Is it alright to in my first trimester? My fiancé wakes me up to get off my stomach every time I roll over on to it. I am about 4.5 weeks.

Your baby will tell you when he/she doesn't like it. I'm 19w3d and I still sleep on my stomach.

The only position I was told to avoid was sleeping on my back and that only applies later in pregnancy when baby is big enough to cause the pressure that can hinder oxygen flow to both you and baby.  I slept on my left side mostly in this sort of side/stomach position but later my side/hip would hurt so much that I'd flip flop between left and right so enjoy the any position sleep while you still can.

The fluid protects our babies, so it's ok. This made me laugh because my SO was staring at me when I woke up from a nap and whispered "baby you need to stop sleeping on your stomach" he was soo concerned. I couldn't help but laugh, I just had to explain to him baby was protected.

You're perfectly fine laying on it till you're uncomfortable. Trust me I can barely sleep now because laying on my stomach is painful but that used to be how I slept.
