Usually early pregnancy it's constipation. Then later it can be both. That was a sign for me because usually when I'm about to start AF I got to the bathroom a lot, when I was first pregnant I noticed I was pretty constipated.

Some people it can definitely happen, the hormones put your body out of whack. I got diarrhea in my 2nd/3rd trimester

I didn't have any till I started taking my prenatals. Definitely wasn't a sign for me if that's what your asking
