relief for the wrong reason..
Ya know what makes me sad and happy at the same time. Seeing a woman twice my size with her baby girl. Why? Because for some reason doctors keep throwing our weight in our face. I get it. I work in medicine. Obesity, over weight, all of it can hinder things. But not always. For instance, currently have a young 604 lb patient without high blood pressure or any other ailment. He's just "obese".
What sparked this you ask? Three years ago when I was pregnant and discharged my first visit from an obgyn because my weight was too high for their office. That was the lowest day ever. No one has ever hurt my feelings that bad. And no one ever will, again.
My point. Whether you believe in a higher power or whatever- do you. You can get pregnant so long as you have your parts and hormones and he has his. we need to stop letting everything and everyone discourage us starting with the textbook doctors. NOT ALL BODIES ARE THE SAME! Do not discourage me from child bearing because of my weight.
