My Wonderful Birth Story at 37weeks💖💕💗

Why Trusting God and your instinct is so important.

So I was due 22nd of May and have had a pretty good pregnancy (2nd time mum).

At my 30 weeks scan baby started to measure big progressively and my doctor was concerned i might have GD. All test came back fine and my blood sugars were good. But a few weeks later they became raised and my body wasnt producing enough insulin. So when baby measured 8lbs+ at her 34 weeks scan, my doctor decided it was best to induce me or offer a c sec at 38 weeks which is technically full term. Also my first was 9.9lb most of it in her height as daddy is a giant at 6ft 7. I am 5ft 8. So we are predisposed to making big babies. I didnt mind at all🐴. The risk with vag birth at this point was they having to break baby shoulders to help her exit due to her huge size or I can opt for a c sec and have baby. So i got a date set for May 11 to have a c sec. Long story short. I ended up staying in hospital for 3 days when i turned 35 weeks to get steroid injections to help baby lungs mature before delivery. But on the 3rd of May I ended up in hospital cos all day i hardly felt her move and i had some painful twinges. Got monitored at triage and all of sudden my midwife says i was meant to be having my c sec that morning and I was expected at the hospital 😯. I was shocked and turns out i was double booked lol and no one bothered telling me. So because i went in for reduced fetal movts baby was monitored and my sec was shifted to first thing next morning. Thank God i went in for reduced movements as it turns out there was meconium in my waters but thank God baby didnt swallow any. I dread to imagine what would have happened if i stayed home and just waited till the 11th for my section😟. Just want to say we should trust our instincts especially when it comes to our babies. God gave them to us for a reason. My Princess Leia arrived on the 4th of May 🤓🤓🤓 safe and sound and I just Thank my God for everything.
