cleaning baby bottles

So I have been hand washing baby bottles with steam hot water and dish soap. The bottle nipples I have been rinsing with hot water as well. I was wondering how should I wash bottle in the dishwasher . Do I just place it on the rack and start the dishwasher? I'm getting tired of washing the bottles by hand as I don't know if it's sanitizing then or not . Advice please I'm a FTM
