Am I wrong

My MIL assumes she will be in the delivery room next week for my induction but I honestly don't want her there. I don't want anyone besides my husband and I there. We have an 8 month old dachshund that I am freaking out about leaving so I am thinking I can ask her to watch him while we are in the hospital and maybe she won't come until after the labor. Is this mean? I mean I need someone to watch my dog and she's the only one that lives near.
