Any advice for a water fast?

I know im young, but lately Ive been really trying to lose weight and no matter what I do, I gain more... I've dieted, worked out, ate small quantities, etc... Nothing works. 
So I want to try this water fast everyones talking about. Any advice?

You are 15, you should not be dieting - period. Your body is still growing extremely fast and needs nutrients. Depriving yourself of all nutrients and calories by going on a water fast is absolutely the wrong thing for you to do. Crash dieting in adolescence can leave you with a permanently damaged metabolism as an adult. Let your body grow, nurture yourself.

Just eat more vegetables and meat and watch your carb intake. Sometimes if you write down what you eat that can help too.
