My son is almost a month old and this is what his belly button looks like now. It didn't look like this at first. I saw that it might be an umbilical hernia. I read that this will eventually go away and heal on its own but I just can't help but freak out about it. My husband says it's not big deal since it goes away on its own but I'm not sure if I should make him an appointment for it? It's soft to touch and doesn't seem to cause him any discomfort. Are umbilical hernias normal? Thanks
