Is this wrong?

Is it wrong to leave a guy because he doesn't want to get married and have kids yet? I'm about to be 25, have been with him for a year and a half, and I'm ready to take the next steps in life: have a house and family to take care of. I'm getting really bored with the relationship and losing interest because he never speaks of these things. I do love him and want him to be the person i do all of these things with but I can't make him want to... I feel like if I tell him this he'll say, oh that's the only reason you're with me?! Any thought appreciated.

There's nothing wrong with ending a relationship if you want different things but I think it's a discussion to be had. I would sit down and make sure you know what page the other is on, if it's not the same page or close to it then it might be best to end it. With out asking you'll never know for sure.

No it is not wrong. Why stay in a relationship if you are not satisfied in the long run? If you want kids and marriage and your SO doesnt i think you should be with someone who does :)

I don't think it's wrong, I just think it is time to move on. You know what you want in life, and you're looking for someone who wants the same on a similar timeline. That's not wrong, but it's obviously not with this guy. Maybe you need to date someone a little older who is ready to settle down, buy a house, have some babies.

And this may sound weird or dumb, but you should read Patti Stanger's (the millionaire matchmaker) book about finding the relationship you want and how to get it without wasting your time essentially. It's called "Become Your Own Matchmaker", and it's available on Amazon to purchase or on iTunes and Amazon to purchase a digital copy. She talks a lot about holding out for the right person and making sure your values and timelines match before you get into a committed relationship that's not going where you want it to.

There is no right or wrong here. Do what is best for YOU. If the two of you aren't headed in the same direction and wanting the same things, either one of you has to compromise your desires, or its time to part ways. If he isn't willing to compromise, and you don't want to wait anymore, what else is there to do except move on?

I think you need to Talk to him about it it sounds like he doesn't know that this is how you feel and because he hasn't brought it up,  you're losing interest. Don't say you'll leave him if he doesn't, though. That just sounds messed up. If he wants to but just isn't ready yet,  then if you love him,  you'll respect that. You both need to meet half way and the only way to do so is to talk to him and tell him how you feel

The only reason I dated at all was to find a man to marry! I made sure that the guys that I dated knew that marriage was my ultimate goal. If the guy I was dating had no interest in marriage, I moved on. I didn't want to waste my time!

Not at all. I was in the same boat with my ex. He didn't want any of the same things as I did. He never wanted marriage or kids.  I tried to fool myself into believing I was okay with not having those things. I stood up for myself and left him. Once i left he tried to get me back by saying he did want those things but didn't want to talk about them becuase I was obsessed and he wanted to "surprise me". Talk to your SO and see if it's something he wants in 5 - 8 years or something he just doesn't want. Do what you want, I walked away and am now happy and ttc with a man that wants to be happy with me.
