pregnant on IUD?

can a pregnancy test come out positive while on BC Skyla? and how unlikely is it for me to be pregnant with an IUD? my boyfriend and I have sex all the time without condoms

I'm pretty sure the IUD is the most effective form of birth control except maybe a combination of multiple bc's used together. It's unlikely that you'd get pregnant but I believe if you did happen to get pregnant pregnancy tests would come out positive. The bc shouldn't effect a pregnancy test result

I have the merina coil, have to go for a check up as I can't the threads & nurse said she couldn't see/ find them when I had my smear test & I'm also almost 2 weeks late. I know coil can stop your periods but I've had it since 1st Aug & this is the first time this had happened. Been having pregnancy symptoms also but I dunno... trying not to over worry!

My boss is 12 weeks pregnant. She had an IUD. It was in the right place and everything. Needless to say, she was shocked when she found out she was pregnant.
