Anyone have/ know about Anemia?

Is anyone here anemic? What are your symptoms? I feel constantly tired, weak, dizzy, and I bruise soo easily, and get horrible headaches 3-4 times a week sometimes more. I am making a dr appointment to get a physical done but I had limes disease and that is what caused my low iron levels about 2 yrs ago, I am almost positive that I have low iron levels again that's why I made the dr appointment. But how do you guys feel?? I'm Curious.

I'm anemic. If you're sitting down don't get up to fast, it will cause you to feel dizzy and light headed. I don't take anything for mine.

I have anemia. You really need a dr visit for accurate diagnosis. It was a finger prick & 15 minute result. U may need full blood-work to rule out something else. I had unintentionally cut out a lot of iron sources when money got short and I was busy. I am naturally happy with veggies and a limited diet. I looked up recommended iron amounts daily (varies by age), them looked up the mg of various foods so I met my daily requirement. I consciously have to remind myself to eat meat/foods on the list. I now take a liquid prenatal vitamin, iron & frolic acid supplement in liquid, and some other green powder health stuff, but the iron from the first 2 seems to help with the anemia. I kept a daily diary for iron amts (& daily water intake). I was tired& got cold easily. I need to go back and get rechecked but I feel so much better!

That all sounds like me!! The only other thing I would add is pale skin. I take slow-fe slow release iron pills. And eat a lot of iron rich foods like spinach, broccoli, asparagus and you may want to ask about either B-6 or B-12 vitamins. And it just the pre-warn you if you do get on iron supplements you may want to also intake of your fiber. Lots of iron tends to get your digestive system a little bit backed up so the fiber should help prevent that. And also don't give blood! Most places like blood banks test for anemia first, but when I donated for the first time I wasent tested and I kept throwing up, with diarrhea, and ended up passing out. :/ Best of luck!!

I'm anemic , I've always had the symptoms but wasn't aware until I got pregnant with our first in October 2012 . He's a year old now .. And were still breast feeding ! I'm having to wean him though because physically my body can't take it anymore  .. I just started taking iron suplements three days ago ! Hoping for some sort of improvement. William had his 12 month check up today and he was also diagnosed with anemia . Breast feeding and being anemic has been the hardest thing I've ever done . Some days I have to lay I the bed an hour after I wake before I can even get up and love around . It's so bad ?

I have periods were I am anemic. I take folic acid 3 times a week to help combat that as iron pills will make me vomit.

I'm anemic. Iron pills work but the nausea after is pretty bad. I've had anemia my whole life and didn't know about till I had my daughter. Inherited from my mom. Love red meat and that's why I never noticed till I got pregnant. Eats lots of green vegetables and red meat like medium cooked steak with a side of asparagus and some juice.

I have a tendency for it . Inherited from my dad . Iron pills back me up. I eat chilly , spinach, lean red meats and eggs .. I get those symptoms now and then if I'm not careful with my diet and sleep excercise etc
