helmet!?

Kara
Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with babies who need helmets . I have done my research and know it's not purely cosmetic . I am paranoid that my son may need one. He's almost 12 weeks. He favors his right side and he's got a flat spot on the back right side of his head. I try repositioning him while he sleeps and he always ends up back on that side. During naps I put him on his side that's not flat. I seem to be the only one who notices this. From above it looks like his ears are slightly misaligned. I am switching pediatricians and hopefully getting an appointment soon to evaluate. We do tummy time as much as possible but I feel like no matter what I do night time is the problem. If he needs a helmet I want to catch it early. I don't want him to have issues later on with glasses or bike he lets it jaw problems. Has anyone has experience with this? I also believe he may have torticollis so I'm also going to mention that when we get an appointment. I'm mostly concerned that if he does need one it'll change his happy personality. I feel like I've failed as a mom. He's my first baby and I never thought to switch his position earlier than this. He's been a great sleeper. I just feel like a terrible
Mom and I feel awful.
