WTF???

I've had a dream that I found out I'm pregnant, I've had a dream in the middle of the pregnancy, and last night I had a dream that I had the baby. It was so vivid. I remember what it felt like to hold the baby in my arms. I remember how much he weighed and how long he was. It was scary vivid. I'm a virgin so why would I be having these dreams?

I have pregnancy and baby dreams too. It is pretty crazy.

I read somewhere about some speculation that our human ancestors used to dream about being chased in the woods by predators. The theory is that we dream about things to practice our fight or flight response - a way to "test" a scary situation in order to practice reacting without actually being in the situation.

This stuck with me. I have dreams sometimes about scary situations and I often think it is my body practicing how I would react. I think this might be applied to pregnancy dreams, virgin or not most women think about how it would feel and what we'd do if we were pregnant.

AGAIN this theory and all dream studies are mostly speculation, but interesting to think about.

Honestly these dreams probably have very little to do with pregnancy or childbirth, at least that's what Freud's dream analysis work would indicate.

I've had similar dreams, I once dreamt I woke up laying down next to my boyfriend and our baby! Till this day it trips me out!
