uk mummy's glucose test?

Question

I have my glucose test next week and really want to know what to expect. I've been told to fast from midnight and to only drink water, also been told it'll be 2 hours? 
Any U.K. Mummy's able to tell me their experiences?

How far gone are you? I'm 29weeks and haven't been offered one, but baby has v serious heart problem so maybe they have concentrated on that instead and been overlooked?

Yeah it's exactly what katie said, a lot of sitting around and waiting. I'm not good with blood tests and had to be sent to hospital to have mine but it's honestly fine, the glucose drink doesn't taste too nice but down it all in one and you'll be absolutely fine! Best of luck x

I had mine a few weeks ago. They do a blood test then you have to drink a sugary orange drink that they give you and wait in the waiting room for 2 hours. They don't recommend you walk around or eat or drink so that part is pretty boring! (Take some magazines with you!) Then they will call you back and take more bloods and then your done. Nothing to worry about! X
