starting rice cereal?

I'm looking to see who all has started rice cereal at 4 months??? I want to start but my pediatrician doesn't recommend starting any kind of solids until about 6 months

Just started my son on rice cereal... he loves it! I got the rice cereal with DHA and probiotics in it .. and even if people think it provides them with "nothing".. as a occupational therapist I can tell you that it will help them get used to different food textures and build there tolerance for different types of foods.

My baby is 4 months,  she turned 4 months on the 29th, we got the go ahead for starting solids last monday my girl is big shes 16 pounds 3 oz and 2ft 2 inches tall. But i started with rice cereal mixed with breast milk in the evenings and waited 3 days before trying something else to see if she had a reaction then i tried green beans mixed with rice cereal and breast milk after she finished that i gave her some of the puree by itself she finished the jar the next night then i waited 3 days and just fed her the oatmeal cereal until 3 the days were up which was last night and we tried carrots mixed with oatmeal and breast milk and alittle water. Then today im starting twice a day feeding, i fed her lunch then ill fed her again in the evening. She gets rice cereal and breast milk mixed together for lunch and puree and oatmeal cereal and breastmilk for dinner. I do oatmeal cereal at night because it keeps her full and helps her sleep all night. Also start with vegetables first when you do start the purees! And if you are using jarred baby food use beech nut before gerbern the baby gastrointestinal doctor said its easier for them to digest when starting solids. My baby hasnt had any issues digesting the food! Sorry if its a bit confusing! Good luck!!

I give my baby pureed veggies but cereal literally provides nothing for your baby.

We started rice cereal at four months and are now at 4 1/2 and really getting into the routine of being able to do it daily. Our baby didn't care too much for it at first but now likes it more. Starting to introduce some puréed baby food as well and he does great with it. We were told to try to wait until six month to introduce solids, but my son wants the baby food and does great with it. Should we still wait?

At the 4 month check up our pediatrician said we could start rice cereal and other solids! We tried it he didn't like it and wouldn't eat it so we started mixing in some organic sweet potato baby food and now he loves it! Going to try bananas next!

We went to the doctors today my baby is 4 months. She turn 5 months on the 31sr. Her doctor said we could start her on rice cereal in a couple of weeks. Once she gets used to that we could start trying baby food and once she starts eating baby food we could give her sips of water.

We started rice and oatmeal cereal at 4 months after the pediatrician gave the go ahead. We then started adding just a bite or so a day or a purée. Sweet potatoes. Carrots. Bananas. And apples so far. She'll be 5 months in a week!

Yup started my son solids back when he was 3 1/2 months he's about to be 5 months and eating all kinds of veggies and fruit... didn't like the rice cereal but that's ok with me his brother didn't take it either! Good luck momma💕

I give my baby pureed rice and fruits plus veggies i use the ninja blender and it works magic. My lo loves she gained weight fast! She is only 4 mos old turning 5 this 20th. 😂
