Drinking wine?

Im trying to conceive and I like to have a glass of wine here and there is it bad?

​Also my friend drank red wine while she was pregnant ..... She said her doctor said it was ok. I just find that to be so weird. She never did it in public but she did do it at home.

​I'm not going to drink while I'm  pregnant but I enjoy a glass here and there now.

I have coworkers who are pregnant and they drink wine as well. One of them says she has one glass of red wine every weekend. Her doctor said it was okay as well. I know she is also European and her family members have done this with their pregnancies as well

My OB told me "Go home, have a glass of wine, and have sex with your husband!" He was joking but he did say it's safe while TTC because the baby isn't even connected via the umbilical cord until about 5 weeks. Most women know they're pregnant by then. My doctors have also said very small amounts of wine (like two sips a week) during pregnancy is allegedly fine, but I still wouldn't risk it.

as far as your friend, I find it hard to believe.  my oldest daughter is 21 and pregnant. her fiancee specifically asked about wine on occasion,  she unequivocally said no!

this is my first month cutting out alcohol altogether. I'm not a heavy drinker by any means, but last month we had sex on all the right days and the stars aligned and...BFN.

most will tell you its best to give up alcohol all together when ttc. but I've read about lots of women getting drunk and getting their bfp. lol I'm not a big drinker so not drinking doesn't bother me
