So I teach 1st grade in a small rural school that I love! And my kids are the greatest! I'm 10 weeks pregnant with my 1st child, and couldn't be more excited. My boss and coworkers know I'm expecting.

But. ...I don't know how or if I should tell my school kids? ! They know I don't have kids yet and that I'm married. I tell them about my personal life bc I feel it build rapport with them. They tell me about their lives, and I tell them about mine. These kids are fabulous little people that really understand what's going on if you let them have a chance.

They know I've taken off lately to go to doctor appointments and I think eventually word will get out from the other teachers who will tell the parents. Like I said, small school.... the parents will then tell the kids. I don't mind them knowing at all. ... but I'm dreading the questions like well how did you get pregnant and such? !

Any fellow teachers of little ones out there? How did you tell your class? Or did you?
