How did you find out?

Question

Where were you? I know, we mostly all ped on a stick in the comfort of our own homes. Anyone got a different story? My hubby and I were driving to California to board a cruise ship, I realized that I was a week late so I made up a reason to stop in Vegas at a walmart...yep, I found out in a dirty Wal-Mart bathroom....classy. lol I'm glad I knew before I got on the cruise ship because I fully intended to sit in a hot tub the whole week.

I found out while on our vacation in Mexico. I found out on Feb 11 but waited until Valentine's Day to tell him which was the last day of our trip. I told him while walking on the beach together. Our last pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage the day before his birthday in December so this was an amazing gift to happen where and when it did 😊

We had been trying for a month, I took a test with my FMU. Set my timer on 3 minutes and walked away, my alarm went off and I totally expected it to be negative. Well surprise surprise when I went to toss it I did a double take and there was a faint line! I about peed myself I was so shocked it happened so soon! I about tripped over everything in sight trying to show my husband! I was so shocked all I could do was just hand him the stick and say look!! I'm 8 weeks 5 days! First appointment is Tuesday!

We found out the morning we were going to buy a new car. It was the traditional POAS, but it was 3 days before my mother in law's birthday (she died last February from cancer), so it was such a magical moment for us - we definitely have felt her throughout this whole experience.

I was headed out to ride my horse, but couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to take a test before I got on. I stopped on the way to the barn and bought a test, but it didn't feel right to take it in the grocery store bathroom, so I continued on my merry way to the barn and took it as soon as I got there, in the tack room bathroom. It was Valentine's Day and we already had a Valentine's dinner the previous night as we were expecting a big storm on the 14th. But for some reason I was super emotional and not helping it I watched Steel Magnolias again. Long story short by the end of the movie I was crying like a baby. Husband inquires what's wrong with me, am I pregnant and the bulb just rang. I took two tests both negative, it was just too early but we knew. Waited until 2 days before AF and re took the test on 19th and yupp it turned positive. Sometimes you just know, I am just surprised it was my husband whould had a better intuition than me. It is our first child, just feel so blessed.

I found out in the emergancy room 5 min before I was supposed to have a ct scan. Went in for kidney pain. They did a urine test and it was negative. The doc said he just had a feeling and ordered a blood test that sure enough came back positive. Lucky he had that feeling before the test because I would have never thought I'd be pregnant without fertility meds. My miracle baby 😊

I'm a teacher and during my class I had this huge pain in my side. I've had this pain before, but it had never lasted that long. It's a colon spasm caused from an allergy to corn. The nurse sent me home and told me to go see the doctor. While at the doctor's office a few hours later, they were asking the normal questions of last menstrual cycle and so on. I told them I was a day late, but I wasn't concerned. Because of my long lasting pain they wanted to run a urinary sample to see if the pain was from infection somewhere and since I was "late" they wanted to run a pregnancy test. Well, the doctor came back saying the tests showed no infection and then small talked me until he dropped in "How would you like to do all of that with a baby?"

Went to the doctor for a pain and came out with a bun in the oven.

My husband was out of town too and I didn't want to tell him over the phone so I had to wait 2 days to tell him in person!

I found out crouched on the floor of a train station toilet, just before attending a friend's party. I thought I ought to check one more time before knocking back the champagne! Glad I did!

I was hanging out at my moms with my boyfriend and daughter. I started getting cramps, but not normal period is coming cramps. So I decided to take a test that night. I didn't see a line come up so I assumed it was negative and tossed it. The next morning I was still having the cramps so I did another test.. Still no line.. So I walked away and did my thing. When I came back I was a very faint line. I looked a the test from the night before and saw another faint line. I couldn't wait to tell my boyfriend.. I knew for about 10 hours before I got to see him face to face to tell him.

I couldn't say the words so i wrote t on a paper and folded it in half. I ended up cuddling next to him and then handing him the paper and said here read it.
