Any on Letrozole or Femara?

I go back to the Fertility Dr. on 6/9. I will begin Femara. I was unsuccessful with Clomid. I was wondering what to expect. Also any positive results? TTC for four years, any advice is appreciated!

I tried clomid 4 times with no sucess. It made me super crazy and super depressed. This month I did letrazole and wasn't crazy (no more than usual) and not depressed. I had 17-18mm follicles at cd11 and then did a trigger shot before IUI. I'm pretty sure the letrazole would've made me ovulate by itself if we hadn't needed to do IUI.

Femara to me is a superior pill to Clomid. not the crazy side effects, thinning of uterine lining or lack of CM. I am clomid resistant and Femara gives me several follicles and very strong ovulation. It painful but you definitely know when it's happening! Good luck and sticky baby dust your way ;)

I conceived my sweet boy with Femara/Follistm/HCG shot back in 2010. Were TTC #2 and my doc (he's new) wants to try 1 round of 100mg Clomid first (I'm about 5 DPO at this point). I'll let ya know how I really feel about Clomid in a few days! Haha! ;-) GL to you!

I took Femara for 4 months. It did increase my follies in number a bit. I thought I wasn't having symptoms but after really paying attention...I did. I was a raging, emotional, irrational mess for at least 6-8 days, and only on the hormone. Now that I've been off for a month, I realized that was the cause.

​It's much better from clomid from that I understand, but I only tried Femara. I can't imagine trying clomid if Femara wasn't bad!

I didn't have success on Clomid either. I was taking two 50 mg of Femara twice a day, so a total of 100 mg per day. I had two periods, no pregnancies, and no period since April. Appointment scheduled for a couple weeks at a new doctor to see what's next. Femara did help me have periods though. :)

​Only side effects I noticed were ultra sore breasts and horrendous cramps to the point I'd cry. Good luck and baby dust. :)
