I think it's kind of cool, and don't worry, only doofuses will pronounce it like "run" - Standard English rules say a vowel before a single consonant is usually long

It is an interesting name. I have never heard it before. I think you will constantly get asked how to pronounce it. That's not necessarily bad as it can be a good conversation starter but it might get old after a while.

So I'm a gamer, and I adopted a daughter in a game called Skyrim named Runa. I think it's beautiful!
