Can I be sexually active while taking Doxycycline?

My gyno prescribed me with Doxycycline for 10 days. I'm taking it for my ureaplasma infection and i forgot to ask if I'm able to be sexually active while I'm on the medication. Anybody has ever taken this medication and has any advice?

I was on it for years for acne and I had sex and was fine 
If you're on birth control, be careful. Antibiotics cancel out birth control.

I would ask your doctor with this one. (And I never say ask your doctor.) But if you have vaginal ureaplasma infection that's a different story than acne. Also, watch out for a yeast infection after you take the doxycline. Most antibiotics can put you at a higher risk for yeast. Hope you feel better real soon!!

I was also on apo-doxycycline for acne when I was younger. If you're taking a hormonal form of BC like the pill be careful as it will reduce the effectiveness and increase your changes of pregnancy
