Is calling someone too skinny as bad as calling her fat?

Yes. I am constantly told that I'm "too skinny" and I "need to eat more". And whenever I am told this 2 things go through my mind:
1)Why is my body your business?
2) I bet you wouldn't go up to a heavier person and tell them they're "too fat" and they "need to eat less".

Overweight person here. Yes it is just as offensive to call someone "too skinny". Why would it not be offensive when someone comments on your body in a negative way, whether they realise it or not? It's hurtful and offensive to have someone make unwanted and/or rude comments about your body no matter what your scale says. Your body is your business, and unless a medical professional tells you that you are unhealthy at your weight, you should be proud of your body! It's yours! Love yourself for who you are!

I think so, I think its kind of rude to comment on anyones body without the person asking you what you think. I mean we have the right to an opinion in our own head but we dont have to verbalize it. Its one thing to say "you look great" but whether the person if fat or skinny usually doesn't matter if they look great or not. But yes I think both can be offensive. Some people are naturally big no matter what they do some people are super skinny no matter what. Fat people cas be healthy and skinny people can be unhealthy aka skinny fat.

Coming from my anorexic standpoint yes. It actually makes it worse when people say you're too skinny because 1) you realize how much you actually weigh and 2) there isn't really a "too anything" 
Why is it hard for people to understand that some people weigh different amounts? Yes some are smaller and some are bigger but no one is perfect and no one should tell someone their worth is based on their weight.

As someone that gets called skinny a lot by multiple people, iv been told that I need to eat food for once by people that I have meet for the once and only time, that afends me, I eat a lot and I can holed wheight I have lost 20lbs in 2 weeks as of right now. I just tell them to shut up at this point.

As a skinny person, I dont think so. My aunt is obese, so are some of my friends, and I wouldn't be able to deal with the level of harassment and judgement they get/got. Sure, some skinnies have been bullied, but I dont think the degree is the same, at least not from my experience.
