I don't agree with someone having a baby shower after their first child. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE DIAPER "SPRINKLINGS"

I think a small get together with food and games is fine. But to register at stores and expect people to buy you clothes, bottles, products...that's greedy! Sorry, it is! If you are having multiple children, you shouldn't rely on others to buy the essentials for every child you have. It's like having a house warming registry set up every time you move...
