Crib NOT against a wall?

Question

Does anyone have the crib in their nursery that isn't against a wall? I would like to put our crib in front of the double window, centered in the room but nervous around other pieces of furniture bc the room isn't VERY large.

Putting a crib against a window or close to is a big no no. Although the idea looks lovely as the baby gets bigger something could happen when the baby can pull themself out of the crib. Be careful. : )

The only reason I kept ours away from a window is bc I didn't want the light waking up the baby or preventing a nap. Plus when they can stand they will pull on curtains and whatever they can reach lol

I'm on my aw one baby and with this one I'm totally putting it in front of the window. But here are a couple of things, make sure he/she can't easily get to the curtainS. And have a double rod set curtains where the underneath curtains are TOTALLY blackout.

I won't be, since baby will be in our bedroom since we have a one bedroom apartment. But I did previously see someone post a picture of their nursery with crib in center of room. I don't have a picture, but it did look nice.
