Boyfriend asked me not to shower?!

So a couple weeks ago, I got home from work and my boyfriend was there and he had great news about his job and it was great and he wanted to have celebratory sex. And I was like cool, lemme wash up cuz that day was long and I was not feeling fresh. And he was like babe I don't care, let's just do it, I've been waiting for you for hours. And after a bit of persuasion I agreed.

We go at it and the sex was amazing btw and without thinking I let him go down on me and that was also fantastic despite the fact that I still hadn't showered and was all gross from the day. And when we finished he was like babe you tasted so great, and tmi, but he was like I love the smell of you when you havent showered and all that and I had showered by then but I was like um okay then and blew it off. But then he went on to say that I tasted different and he loved that and it was freaking weird.

And from that point on, we have only had sex after I got all clean at night and stuff and its been fine. But last week, I was on my period and this is when I'm like "fuck me please" and my boyfriend happily obliges. And we were doing it and he was going on again afterward about how he loves the smell and all that and it was weird cuz its a period, it doesn't smell nice but okay

So he asked me when I got home several times earlier this week if I could not take a shower before we have sex cuz my unshowered smell and taste is good for him and he loves it but...I'm unshowered. I'm dirty and gross from the day and I hate that. And I don't wanna just tell him no cuz he's into it but....

Am I wrong for being so against it or is that just a little weird of a request? Anyone had any similar requests?
