Family lied to welfare investigators

Some type of investigators in regards to food stamp fraud came to the listed address looking for my cousin. My auntie has been signing her collateral statement and her mom did one as well for food stamps. When they came to the listed address on file, it's been determined that my cousin was lying to them about where she lived at. She lives in another city actually. Apparently someone turned her over. My auntie lied like she was the friend of the family, instead of relatives when they showed up to her house. Im glad all of this fraud, schemes, and con artist schemes are catching up to my family members. What could happen if they willingly lied?
