I am so happy to be blessed with a little girl at last. After 3 boy pregnancies, and 2 healthy boys out of those, it is wonderful to be expecting a girl.

I called all the Mom's in my life to wish them a happy mother's day today. And got asked about how little lady and i were doing. How far along i was, if i was showing yet. Very nice to have these ladies as excited as we are.

Today, the hubby had to work 12 hour overnight shift, started at 5 pm. So he slept durring the day today, as normal for his schedule. So i took our 2 boys, 7 and 4, to the park for lunch and for them to play. I sat and worked on little girl's blanket as i watched the boys play. And throughout the day, she was having a ball kicking me. Which is a wonderful feeling after losing our last boy at 15 weeks 3 days.

As i sit on thr couch, enjoying a movie and crocheting some more, she is reminding me that she is still here and doing fine.

I will be 17 weeks tomorrow. Next appointment is on Wednesday. I am going to see if my doctors will let me do my ultrasound between then and the first week of June. Hoping they will accomidate. Main reason is we will be out of state for 3 to 4 weeks in June. We also haven't seen baby since 7 weeks 5 days, and i want to figure out where my placenta is. I can feel her kicks from my hair line and below, but i can't feel her kick above that. I know she is higher than that, i can feel the pressure and firmness where her body goes when she is up higher. But i can not feel the kicks. I don't know if it is because my placenta is blocking the kicks, or what. Don't recall this with the others, but it has been about 5 years since i felt kicks.
