back pain and Braxton hicks??

I am having really bad back pain that comes with my stomach contracting it has been happening about every 7 minutes. Is it still considered a Braxton hicks if its associated with bad back pain. Only 35 weeks but went to L and D on Sunday with contractions every 5 minutes and they gave me fluids and they stopped. Hate to go back and it be nothing.

I've been told if the pain progresses and they become more frequent that they're the real thing. It's all so confusing. I would just say try drinking any uncaffeinated fluid and try changing the position you're laying in bed and see if they go away. Also keep timing them.

I get BH when I'm dehydrated, have to pee for a long time or have to do #2. Drink water and go pee. Usually helps. If they don't stop then they are real contractions

Agreed. My doctor said increase water intake, if you're any sort of dehydrated it can cause contractions. Just keep an eye on them!

I recently started getting back pain with my BH and my midwife said it's normal. My BH can be quite consistent too. I'm full term so I'm not too worried and waiting for the day they are too bad to talk through (that's how you know it's the real deal) but if it makes you more comfortable go in and get checked.

Same here. Braxton hicks seem to come on when bladder is full, dehydrated or right after intercourse. Usually emptying my bladder helps as well as increasing water intake :)
